| FoldUp.zip | 17K | Fri Nov 02 01:23:26 2001 | | Detailed Description: The target database must have a default view or folder. The purpose of this tool is to provide a way for design elements such as folders in a mail file to be updated when the design of a database is upgraded. 1. Windows: Copy NFOLDUP.EXE into the Domino server program directory (e.g. c:\lotus\domino) AIX: Copy FoldUp into the Domino server program directory 2 .While the Domino server is running, type load foldup Additional Options: Directories In place of a database, the FoldUp addin will accept a directory. For example, 'load foldup mail' will run the FoldUp task against all databases within the 'mail' directory. Options The following options will modify the behavior of the FoldUp addin task: d - Specify a view or folder instead of using the default view (Requires additional parameter). f - Update FOLDERS ONLY v - Run in VERBOSE mode The syntax for these options is as follows: load foldfix The parameter is only necessary if the -d setting is used. This option tells the addin task to use a specific view as the basis for the design upgrade instead of using the default view. 1. Uncompress the file. 2. Copy the executable into the Domino server program directory Iris Sandbox sample submitted by Iris/Lotus/IBM. |

| foldfix.zip | 17K | Fri Nov 02 01:22:52 2001 | | Detailed Description: Instructions for use: 1. Copy NFOLDFIX.EXE into the Domino server program directory (e.g. c:\lotus\domino) 2. While the Domino server is running, type load foldfix Additional Options: Directories In place of a database, the FoldFix addin will accept a directory. For example, 'load foldfix mail50.ntf mail' will run the FoldFix task against all databases within the 'mail' directory. The purpose of this tool is to provide system administrators with a way to determine the potential impact of a database design upgrade. It will either update the design elements to preserve the elements which are absent in the specified template, or simply report back to the console which elements will be removed by a design refresh or replace or when Convert is used on the database. This is written specifically for Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/2000 platforms. Options The following options will modify the behavior of the FoldFix addin task: a - Update all design notes. This includes all design notes of the following classes (please see the Notes R5 API documentation for more detailed information regarding these note classes): NOTE_CLASS_VIEW (folders and views) NOTE_CLASS_FORM (forms, pages, images, et al) NOTE_CLASS_FILTER (agents, script libraries) NOTE_CLASS_FIELD (shared fields) f - Update design elements of type NOTE_CLASS_VIEW o - Update design elements of type NOTE_CLASS_FORM g - Update design elements of type NOTE_CLASS_FILTER s - Update design elements of type NOTE_CLASS_FIELD i - Ignore database template inheritance r - REPORT ONLY, do not update any element v - Run in VERBOSE mode x - Unmark the PRESERVE bit The syntax for these options is as follows: load foldfix New to this version: - Skips databases which do not inherit from the template. (This behavior can be controlled through the 'i' switch) 1. Decompress the file 2. Copy the executable into the Domino server program directory Iris Sandbox sample submitted by Iris/Lotus/IBM. |

| login timer.txt | 1K | Fri Nov 02 01:07:30 2001 | | Detailed Description: Problem: Using domain-based SSO, user authentication is maintained via a token cookie. If the token expires while the user is editing a document, there is a danger of losing unsaved data as a result of the automatic re-authentication process. Solution: Automated Javascript will automatically open up a new window which prompts the user to re-authenticate. The window being edited is unaffected, and no data is lost. Code: The Javascript example has a timeout variable (minutes). This should be set the same as or slightly lower than the timeout variable in the SSO key document. When the timeout period is reached, the script will effectively erase the Ltpa token cookie, logging out the user. It then opens up a new window so that the user can re-authenticate without affecting the data on the page being edited. The script then re-sets the timer. As a suggestion, the pop-up window should be directed to a form that is set to close itself automatically. |

| cddb Discography.nsf | 901K | Sun Nov 11 09:38:45 2001 | | Detailed Description: The CDDB database is a public database, accessible on the Internet by a variety of software tools, that contains CD information not normally "burned" on the CD itself. In particular it contains details about artists and titles for each album and track. If you have a large collection of CDs, and always wanted to build a catalogue with album and track and artist details, the CDDB database will go a long way towards answering your need. This application assumes you are using the popular XMCD application as the software tool to access the CDDB database. XMCD is available for free under the GNU licence for Linux system. XMCD will recognise the CD currently mounted on your CD drive and access the CDDB (v.2) database through your Internet connection to extract the album and track details. You then have the option of downloading those details to your local disc drive thus progressively build up a catalogue of your CDs on your hard drive. XMCD builds by default an HTML directory structure and index. This application converts the HTML structure into a Notes database, thus enabling full text queries of the database and flexible categorised views of the data. |
